The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting Siloam Mission’s communications strategy by planning and implementing digital campaigns that engage donors, build awareness, and share our impact in meaningful ways. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this role focuses on optimizing our digital advertising, website, and SEO, while supporting cross-departmental efforts to enhance donor acquisition, engagement, and retention through digital platforms in alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Plan, launch, and manage digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, and others.
- Conduct keyword research, on-page SEO audits, and technical SEO reviews; implement SEO best practices across website, blog, and campaign pages.
- Set up and manage analytics tools including Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance including KPIs such as click-through rate, conversion rate, and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
- Manage audience targeting strategies (e.g., geographic, behavioral, lookalike audiences) and perform A/B testing on creative assets and calls-to-action.
- Collaborate with Communications Coordinators and other cross-functional teams to produce high-quality digital content for campaigns and initiatives.
- Implement technical improvements such as schema markup, redirects, and website performance optimization.
- Recommend and implement strategies to increase user engagement, conversions, and online visibility.
- Assist with digital media buying, donor acquisition strategies, and retention efforts.
- Support research and analysis efforts in collaboration with other departments.
- Assist with and participate in events as part of the Development Team.
- Perform other related communications, and development tasks as required.
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 1 year in a digital marketing, communications, or related role.
- Experience running paid ads and reporting on performance.
- Google Ads and Meta Ads certifications an asset.
- Training or experience with SEO, Google Analytics, and email marketing platforms.
- Previous experience in a non-profit environment an asset.
Knowledge / Skills / Behaviors
- Proficiency in managing digital ads on platforms such as Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, etc.
- Proven SEO knowledge, including keyword research and on-page optimization.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel.
- Demonstrated creativity and interest in marketing and storytelling for results-driven communications.
- Strong writing and editing skills for digital campaigns, web content, and social media, etc.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to pull reports and interpret data, such as campaign performance metrics, click through rates, conversion rates, and ROAS, to make data-driven decisions.
- Proven ability to create engaging content across multiple formats –written, visual, and video.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop), or other creative tools and software.
- Proficient in CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Squarespace).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Competence in performing A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of online privacy and digital accessibility standards.
- Ability to stay current with digital marketing trends and platform updates.
- Proven adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to manage changing priorities.
- Familiarity with issues surrounding poverty and homelessness is an asset.
- Photography and videography skills are an asset.
Relationship
- Works closely with the Communications team, and Development Department.
- Works occasionally with other department heads, external vendors, and agency partners.
Working Condition
- Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 8:00 – 4:30 pm with occasional weekends and evenings.
- Office environment.
- Some travel for off-site events and meetings required.
