Job Description

Under the direction of the manager Interprofessional Practice, the Dietitian is responsible for managing the nutrition care of patients. This includes nutritional assessment, development and implementation of nutrition care plans, diet counseling, evaluation of care and arrangement for follow-up care. The incumbent acts as a nutrition consultant to other members of the health care team, shares department responsibilities and provides education experiences for dietetic interns.

Preference will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.

Experience
  • Preference to those with experience with acute care patients in hospital setting
  • Preference given to candidates with Pediatric Clinical Nutrition experience
  • Preference given to candidates with Clinical Dietitian experience
Education
  • Dietetic Internship certificate
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSc(Nutr))
Other Information
  • Registered/eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada (DC)
  • This position works weekends on a rotation basis.
  • Experience in nutrition support will be considered an asset.
  • Experience as a staff dietitian is preferred.
  • Working Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30.
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians
  • The caseload for this position will include adult acute care.
