We provide specialist diabetes care to the 21,000 people living with diabetes across North East Essex, in the form of specialist diabetes clinics for the most complex cases, young persons, pre pregnancy, antenatal, insulin pump and MDT foot clinics, numerous local and national diabetes patient structured education courses and a strong emphasis on up skilling and supporting primary care via education sessions, mentorship and in practice support alongside supporting delivery of Diabetes Masters modules at the University of Essex.

We pride ourselves on our close collaborative working with multiple local community services, lifestyle services, health in mind, pharmacy and the CCG. We are an enthusiastic, friendly team and strive to provide a patient centred, safe, effective and high quality service. We nurture an environment of supportive learning with regular CPD scheduled for the team and as well as on an individual basis to support ongoing evidenced based practice and we strongly encourage audit and research within the service.
