Position Summary

As a Manager focusing on DevOps Engineering, you will support clients in leveraging DevOps technologies to drive business transformation and operational excellence. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement technology-enabled solutions, gaining hands-on experience in some of the most dynamic fields in consulting today.

Typical Day
  • Participate in client-facing and internal projects, assisting or leading the technical engineering and operationalization of cloud solutions.
  • Architect, engineer, and implement partial and/or complete cloud solutions using modern configuration management tools and practices.
  • Contribute to project planning, estimation, and risk management activities.
  • Report current project status and discuss technical ideas to management.
  • Lead a DevOps team through the development stages and solution delivery for client projects.
  • Troubleshoot performance, redundancy, configuration, and application incidents to resolution.
  • Investigate performance and process failures and work to improve them.
  • Maintain and continuously improve existing fully managed cloud solutions.
  • Assist with and/or implement a client’s regular change requests.
  • Cross-train and document new solutions, tools, and practices for team members, the operations team, and other groups.
  • Conduct new product/service evaluations for internal publication to management for possible adoption.
  • Stay apprised of new developments in both public cloud and operations, help in determining how and when those would affect and/or improve the architecture.
  • Follow the latest industry trends, practices, and ideas through training, certifications, conferences, and research.
  • Research and experiment with emerging application development, AI/Agentic and Cloud trends, tools, and best practices to support client engagements.
  • Participate in client workshops, meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions and collaborate with technical and business teams to document requirements and solution designs.
  • Prepare client deliverables such as presentations, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of systems administration experience in a service provider or large enterprise.
  • 4+ years of systems engineering experience in a service provider or large enterprise.
  • 5+ years of public cloud experience with production workloads.
  • Two (2) or more certifications from a major public cloud vendor.
  • Well-versed knowledge in one or more processes and tools:
    • Processes: Agile Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Infrastructure-as-code, Version Control, Build and Package Automation, Configuration Management, Cloud infrastructure, Release Management, Source code Management, Secret Management.
    • Tools: GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Bitbucket, GitHub, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, Azure DevOps, Google Cloud Build, AWS DevOps, Selenium, Maven, Bamboo, Jira, Confluence, Octopus Deploy, Trello, Terraform, Terragrunt, HashiCorp Vault.
  • Good understanding of DNS, VPN and networking.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with directory services (e.g., AD, LDAP).
  • Intermediate fluency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java, C/C++, Go, Ruby).
  • Demonstrated Root Cause Corrective Action analysis, report generation, and presentation to customers.
  • Strong project timeline management skills and customer-facing support experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage tasks, set priorities, and articulate issues to team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a multi-tenant managed hosting or managed services department.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Knowledge in containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, Podman.
  • Demonstrated leadership or teamwork experience through campus involvement or extracurricular activities.
  • Prior internship, academic, or project experience in a software development environment is a plus.
Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
