Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
  • Strong understanding and application of Object-Oriented Principles.
  • Strong understanding and application of SOLID principles.
  • Proficiency with data structures and databases.
  • Proficiency with XML/JSON.
  • Insurance industry knowledge preferred.

Job description
Overview

Insurity’s Next Developer will build and deliver product customizations, integrations, and data pipelines on our cloud insurance platforms—turning carrier requirements into reliable, well-tested solutions. You’ll work end-to-end with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Analysts to scope, design, and implement features that will expand our product value to our customers.

The ideal fit is a consultative, ownership-minded engineer who communicates crisply, thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment, and enjoys mentoring teammates while raising the technical bar.

What Our Developer Will Do
  • Analyze specifications and requirements, gaining a clear understanding of proposed changes' scope and nature.
  • Ensure comprehension of proposed design solutions, aligning them with technical and business requirements and adhering to architecture standards.
  • Develop robust, logically structured code in accordance with programming standards, subject to thorough code reviews.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing to validate coding changes, ensuring seamless functionality without adverse effects.
  • Address and resolve complex issues through effective debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Create and maintain relevant technical documentation to support ongoing development efforts.
  • Actively participate in technical meetings, contributing to design discussions and code reviews.
  • Execute tasks following established standards and procedures, communicating pertinent information as needed.
Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

We have five core values at Insurity; one is to act with integrity. Salary transparency is provided to help you make informed decisions and to address wage gaps. For this role, the salary range is $65,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
