Job description
Responsibilities
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company / Customer safety standards and practices, legal regulations, and alerting others to potential hazards.
  • Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM’s Core Values.
  • Determines the target audience of the product and its various uses by asking and answering appropriate questions, and addressing inquiries from customers, plant engineers, and branch personnel.
  • Handles field calls for service requests and collaborates with field personnel to analyze data and support design requests.
  • Develops design drawings and specifications for field equipment, dies / tools, and controls using CAD software, requiring mathematical computations.
  • Coordinates drafting efforts on projects, reviews preliminary sketches, and creates refined drafts applying engineering principles.
  • Produces final sketches of proposed drawings, checking dimensions, materials, and the relationship between parts and the overall structure or project.
  • Provides technical advice, discusses design concepts with field personnel and clients, and creates design packages for presentations.
  • Presents designs and demonstrates product prototypes for client approval.
  • Maintains documentation of design drawings and creates illustrations for manuals and technical publications to assist field personnel and clients.
  • Ensures drafts and sketches comply with company procedures, regulations, and client standards.
  • Performs calculations for designed clamps based on ASME code.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or design engineering.
  • Must possess P Eng stamp / Designation for Ontario.
  • 3 to 5 years of related work experience.
  • Professional Engineering Certification for the region.
  • Completion of a certified CADD program is preferred.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, UltraPIPE, or other AutoCAD software is required.
  • Experience with parametric modeling is preferred.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to work under time constraints, good interpersonal skills, and initiative are preferred.
  • Ability to read technical documents and engineering specifications is preferred.
  • Ability to work variable shifts and overtime.
  • Availability for weekend, holiday, and on-call work as required.
  • Travel requirements : 0%-25%.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily conducted in a semi-private office / cubicle setting.
  • Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
  • Must wear safety equipment as required for personal protection.
  • Variable shifts.
