The Women’s Performance Knits team designs innovative, high-performance athletic apparel that blends function, fit, and style. The team collaborates across activity categories within performance, working with raw materials, product development, merchandising, and technical teams to push boundaries through new materials, seamless construction techniques, and advanced fabrications. Core Responsibilities
  • Design Support: Assist the Design Manager and team with daily tasks, acting as a vital support to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Technical Documentation: Create flat sketches and technical specifications for styles designed by senior team members.
  • Presentation Preparation: Support in preparing presentations for various stages of the design process, including file setup, mock-ups, and prototypes.
  • Fitting Participation: Attend fittings and design/product-related meetings to capture feedback and actions.
  • File Management: Update overview files and line sheets to maintain accurate records.
  • Shadowing Design Work: Observe and learn from critical design work to develop your design perspective.
  • Market Research: Stay informed of current color trends, art, fashion, design, and sport-related products through market research to anticipate consumer needs.
Qualifications
  • Education: A BA, BFA, or BS in Design (or equivalent) is required.
  • Experience: 0–2 years of industry experience is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is essential; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Excel, Word, and Mac platforms is also required.
  • Knitwear Experience: Experience and understanding of knitted fabrics and sweaters is highly beneficial, with experience in seamless knitwear considered a plus but not required.
  • Additional Skills: An understanding of Ai design tools is beneficial but not required.

Compensation And Benefits Package

Lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $55,300 – 72,600 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
