As a full timeCertifiedDental Assistant (Level II) atKenora Family Dental in Kenora, ON, you will play a crucial role in our dental team. You will assist our skilled dentists and dental hygienists in providing outstanding patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures.
  • Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
  • Sterilize and arrange dental instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient records.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as billing and insurance claims.
  • Adhere to strict infection control procedures.
  • Assist during dental emergencies and administer basic life support if needed.
  • Stay updated on dental technology and procedures through continuing education.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Dental Assistant
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in dental software and office management systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of OSHA and infection control guidelines.
