A leading video game company in Vancouver is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to develop data strategies and implement data pipelines that enhance gaming experiences. This position allows for hybrid or onsite work and includes responsibilities such as designing scalable data solutions and collaborating with multiple teams. Ideal candidates will have over 4 years of experience in data engineering with strong skills in SQL and cloud technologies. The Data & Insights (D&I) team uses data to deliver valuable insights and solutions for game teams and players, driving strategy, building data and AI tools, and supporting personalization, experimentation, and analytics. The team works with experts to improve understanding, workflows, and player experiences.
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team temporarily with a potential conversion after 12 months. This role will be based in Vancouver, BC and is available for a hybrid or onsite work model.
You will collaborate with Game, Analytics and Product teams to implement data strategies and develop complex ETL pipelines that support dashboards and deeper understanding of our games. You will be part of the data modernization efforts for NHL and UFC, migrating data features from legacy architecture to a modern medallion architecture using the latest data engineering tech stack.
