Cybersecurity Investigator, Enterprise Cybersecurity & Data Investigations

Scotiabank ’s Cybersecurity Operation Centre (CSOC) team detects, monitors and investigates threats, coordinating key programs across the Cybersecurity Operations (CSOps) organization and Information Security & Controls (IS&C).

The Role

Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Cybersecurity Investigations, the Cybersecurity Investigator works on network environment and data security cases stemming from the bank’s security controls, remediating and containing events that pose a network or data risk to the bank.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
  • At least 1 year experience working in a Security Operations Centre or as a Cybersecurity Analyst.
  • Post‑secondary education or a minimum of 5 years professional work experience.
  • Advanced communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills in English; Spanish is a strong asset.
  • Excel at managing incident calls and interfacing with multiple stakeholders for accountability.
  • Familiar with working in large professional organizations.
  • Understanding of basic computing, networking, and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Curious about emerging threats and technologies and interested in applying these to the business.
  • Hands‑on experience in cybersecurity, such as practical labs and CTFs.
  • Certifications (Sec+, CySA+, Net+, A+, CISSP Associate) are nice to have.
