We are seeking a talented Customer Development Manager to lead all aspects of Colgate\'s relationship with Sobeys. This position negotiates with the customer to achieve the company\'s 5P strategies across all of Colgate\'s brands/categories and deliver annual sales/share targets within spending parameters. As a key member of the Customer Development Organization (CDO), this person will help drive superior business results through relationship building, solid analytics, program evaluation, and development and delivery of business plans.
Work independently to develop, negotiate and implement a Customer Plan to achieve Financial and 5P Objectives for all of Colgate\'s brands/categories, and deliver annual sales/share targets
Responsible for directly managing Sobeys Inc (IGA, Sobeys Conventional & Fresh Co.), fostering strong account relationships, strategically planning business to grow/drive sales and ensuring profit goals are met
Deliver sales targets within investment guidelines and alignment with brand strategy
Develop the relationship across the customer\'s organization (buying, merchandising, retailing, eCommerce) and build customer intelligence as it relates to Colgate\'s financial and 5P objectives
Deliver sales targets within investment guidelines and alignment with brand strategy
Strategize and recommend promotional plans which meet specific customer needs and company sales goals
Utilize syndicated data tools (eg. Nielsen Desktop), Atlas, Circana to understand consumption and shipment data to identify brand/category performance trends and opportunities
Collaborate with cross functional teams such as the Customer Development, Marketing and Supply Chain functions to build business opportunities and ensure planning accuracy
Collaborate with eCommerce teams and maintain weekly touchpoints
Bachelor\'s degree
3-5 years experience in a Customer Development role
Experience in developing strategies and plans to respond to shoppers/customer trends delivering against the commercial goals
Proficient skills in syndicated data sources like Circana, Nielsen, Numerator and Atlas
Proficient skills in Retail Link, Microsoft applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Lotus Notes, Google Suite and Workstation Plus
Category Management experience
CPG experience
Previous experience managing Grocery customers, including Sobeys-specific experience
