Job summary

A leading health organization in Manitoba is seeking a Crisis Clinician to provide mental health services in crisis situations. The ideal candidate will have a BN or RPN and be experienced in crisis intervention. Bilingual (French/English) candidates are preferred. Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Four years related community experience.

The Crisis Response Centre has a mandate to provide service in French; preference will be given to bilingual (French/English) candidates.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • BN or RPN required.
  • Knowledge of Crisis Intervention Theory.
  • Suicide Assessment and Intervention Training.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle preferred.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • Expertise in the area of mental health.
  • Knowledge and understanding of psychosocial rehab and recovery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective networking and agency relations skill.
