Credit Research Analyst – Toronto

Salary: CAD115,000 – CAD145,000

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to progress their career in a dynamic environment, taking responsibility for company analysis and trade recommendations within the global Resources, Industrials and Infrastructure space across both investment grade and high yield markets.

A bit about the job:

This is a credit research role with primary responsibility for providing in-depth critical analysis within the global Resources, Industrials and Infrastructure sector. You will support portfolio construction decisions across both investment grade and high yield credit markets, using your judgment and experience to generate trade recommendations across relevant portfolios. You will work collaboratively with research colleagues across AI, fund managers and other AI research and strategy teams to formulate and underpin security selection recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-depth critical analysis within the global Resources, Industrials and Infrastructure sector.
  • Support portfolio construction decisions across investment grade and high yield credit markets; generate trade recommendations for relevant portfolios.
  • Collaborate with research colleagues, fund managers and other AI research and strategy teams to underpin security selection recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Experience of investment grade and/or high yield debt capital markets from a buy side asset manager, sell side investment bank or rating agency.
  • Resources, Industrials and Infrastructure sector expertise preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of and experience in distressed investment processes would be desirable.
  • The ability to deliver high conviction investment opinions that contribute to superior, risk adjusted results.
  • Experience in developing and building relevant financial modelling tools.
