Overview
Credit Funding Associate — Permanent Full-time
Location: Peterborough, ON (Hybrid Work Arrangement)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Rate of Pay: Dependent on experience
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper completion of loan, line-of-credit and mortgage documentation.
- Assist with the registration and control of Credit Union security documentation, including PPSA, GSA mortgages, collateral mortgages and lodgement title documents.
- Initiate and process PPSA registrations and lien searches, review each registration document for accuracy. Highlight irregular items that may have a priority position and report to Commercial Account Managers.
- Complete Credit Union documentation to process transactions and update Credit Union records.
- Maintain all mortgage files from application to discharge; prepare all required correspondence, and issue cheques to appropriate parties as required.
- Prepare mortgage/loan payout letters, after confirming with Commercial Account Managers. Ensure all fees/penalties are collected and that required discharge documentation is prepared and executed.
- Prepare detailed commitment letters pertaining to each loan approved as outlined in the commercial loan application.
- Key in mortgage closings.
- Calculate and prepare mortgage renewals. Obtain signed mortgage renewals; update mortgage master on computer system reflecting changes in mortgage renewal agreement.
- Liaise with solicitors, employees at the registry office and insurance companies on an ongoing basis, review and verify all draft legal documents prior to release of funds and follow for receipt of final reporting letters.
- Data check mortgages/loans and mortgage renewals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Post-secondary education with emphasis in business administration would be an asset
- Loan and mortgage administration experience would be an asset
- Good computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, oral and written skills
