Job Information and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the COMM 2293 Instructors and the Department Chair the Course Editor will:

  • Design original technical and instructional materials related to business communications
  • Teach communication theory and practice to students
  • Evaluate students course work and learning needs
  • Coordinate materials for communications faculty and students
  • Assess the effectiveness of instructional materials used and revise materials and objectives as required
  • Provide assistance and direction to new communications faculty and staff as required
  • Work independently to help achieve the goals of a team of communication specialists including faculty

Experience and Education Requirements

To be the successful Course Editor you will have:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field
  • Related experience - minimum of three to five years (education, business or English instruction)
  • Thorough knowledge of Communications theory
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Ability to formulate instructional objectives and design instructional materials
  • Coordination and organizing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
