What you’ll do
  • Write and refine content across product touchpoints, including email, in-app messaging, and web, ensuring a consistent voice and tone.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Product Marketing, Design, and Legal & Compliance to ensure that product messaging aligns with user needs and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain messaging frameworks, content templates, and writing standards to create scalable, consistent content that serves multiple product and marketing functions.
  • Drive content strategies for campaigns, from ideation through A/B testing, ensuring that messaging enhances the overall user experience and helps drive key business goals.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Affirm’s voice and tone, refining how we communicate with both consumers and merchants across digital touchpoints.
  • Support content optimization by analyzing performance metrics and iterating on content based on testing insights, user feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all content complies with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Product Design team to ensure that messaging is integrated into product design and user experiences seamlessly.
  • Champion a content-first approach to design, advocating for the inclusion of content in product decisions to elevate user experiences and engagement.
What we look for
  • 2+ years of experience in copywriting and/or content design, ideally within a product or tech-focused environment.
  • Hands-on experience writing for email, web, and in-product messaging, with a solid understanding of best practices for each medium.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, including designers, product managers, and engineers, to create user-centric solutions.
  • Familiarity with UX writing principles and best practices, ensuring content enhances usability and user experience.
  • A self-starter mentality, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail with a strong commitment to clarity, scalability, and consistency across all written content.
  • Experience with legal and compliance review processes, ensuring that all content meets necessary regulatory standards.
  • A passion for content innovation, bringing fresh ideas and new approaches to how we communicate with users.
Base Pay and Compensation

Base pay range per year: $80,000 - $100,000

Equity Grade: 3

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on a simple and transparent pay structure based on location, experience, and job-related skills. Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). Equity rewards may be offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).

Affirm is a remote-first company. The majority of roles are remote and can be worked from anywhere within the country of employment. Some roles may require occasional office presence.
