Location: Abbotsford, BC

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 / year

Description

Hi, I am Tiago, the Director of Creative Services at Musora Media. We’re an online music education company building apps that musicians use every day to learn, practice, and level up. If you know how to turn a great idea into copy that actually lands, we want you. We’re looking for a Wordsmith who can translate insight into impact, crafting on-brand messaging that resonates with real musicians and drives action across Musora.

Important Notes
  • Words matter to us, so show us yours. In your cover letter, share your experience writing for a SaaS company. If you haven’t written for a SaaS yet, explain how you think it’s different from writing blogs or other content.
  • To ensure you’re viewing the most accurate and up-to-date job opportunities, please apply directly through our official website or through our trusted third-party sites (Indeed, Monster, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Talent.com & Ziprecruiter).
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Write copy for Growth Marketing – supporting Marketing Managers for revenue-based email campaigns, advertising assets, website assets and video scripts.
  • Write copy for Product Marketing – supporting Marketing Managers for conversion-based email campaigns, onboarding assets, and membership engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize assets across the entire marketing funnel – working with designers, videographers, and media buyers to ideate solutions and deliver assets.
  • Own copy quality and performance across Musora’s marketing funnel — including lead acquisition, promotion, conversion, onboarding, and retention.
  • Review, edit, and elevate copy written by others to ensure consistency, effectiveness, and adherence to Musora’s brand voice.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing Managers, designers, videographers, and media buyers to ideate, test, and publish high-converting marketing assets.
  • Ideate campaigns and pitch creative ideas that align with needs on the marketing funnel.
  • Translate campaign strategy, customer insights, and performance data into clear creative direction and compelling copy.
  • Actively identify funnel friction and copy opportunities, proactively proposing improvements backed by insight and experimentation.
  • Ensure all copy reflects Musora’s brand ethos, speaks authentically to musicians, and balances emotional resonance with conversion goals.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 5+ years of professional copywriting experience, with a strong focus on digital marketing and conversion-driven environments.
  • Proven experience writing for performance marketing channels, including email, paid media, landing pages, and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to edit, refine, and improve copy written by others, with confidence and strong creative judgment.
  • Experience working within testing frameworks (A/B testing, experimentation, iteration) and using performance data to inform creative decisions.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about music; you play an instrument and understand how musicians think, feel, and talk.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the strategy behind your copy and explain why it will resonate with specific audiences.
  • High standards for craft, clarity, and accuracy — with an eye for detail and a bias toward action.
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and giving (and receiving) direct, constructive, creative feedback.
  • Ability to exhibit the Company's Core Values: Empathy, Passion, and Grit.
  • Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal).
