Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant quality and presentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain food quality.
• Prep fresh ingredients, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and making sauces.
• Stock, organize, and maintain inventory of ingredients and toppings.
• Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, slicers, and grills.
• Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning as needed.
• Handle and prepare meat and poultry following food safety guidelines.
• Work quickly and accurately under pressure while maintaining high standards.
• Support the kitchen team with various tasks as required.
• Ensure proper food storage and maintain cleanliness in prep areas.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 year of experience in a restaurant kitchen as line cook.
• At least 1-2 year of experience as a kitchen helper
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen procedures, and knife skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in reading and following cooking instructions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to stay calm and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Live in Waterdown / Halton / Hamilton region as bus routes are unreliable in the area
