As a Cook, reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for the proper and timely preparation of meals, including food service, food safety, and supervision of kitchen staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a clean kitchen and food storage areas.
• Preparing high-quality, nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) according to client schedules, menu plans, and budget guidelines.
• Responding flexibly to client needs and food preferences.
• Adhering to all Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Safe Food Handling / Health Unit regulations.
• Following all relevant Dexterra and hospital policies and procedures.
• Managing inventory.
• Maintaining accurate, signed records of meals served.

Qualifications

• Must have Food Safe Level 1 certification.
• 3-5 years of cooking experience.
• A clear criminal background check is required.
