Your Role: Controller

This role is full time, fully remote, and ideal for someone based inKelowna, British Columbia or Calgary, Alberta who wants to work with a creative and purpose-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily and monthly financial operations including A/R, A/P, payroll, and reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and deliver timely financial statements and management reports
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Manage relationships with external accountants and support audits or tax filings
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve decision-making
• Recommend system/process improvements for scalability and efficiency

What You Bring to the Table

• CPA designation (or equivalent) strongly preferred
• 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication skills – you make complex financials clear
• Comfortable using accounting software
• Bonus: Experience working with startups, creative brands, or lifestyle companies
• Based inKelowna or Calgary, with the ability to work remotely and connect locally if needed
