Overview

Keyano College’s School of Business is currently seeking Contract Instructors to teach Human Resources Management courses during the Winter 2026 semester (January 8 – April 28, 2025). This position is a casual contract position on an as needed basis. Applicants must feel comfortable working in a classroom with adults of all abilities and backgrounds. This is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity; you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB. Preference will be given to candidates currently living in Fort McMurray.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Successful Candidate Will Be Required To

  • Primarily teach their specific courses across the curriculum
  • Maintain office hours and student mentorship/engagement
  • Maintain professional competence and knowledge of subject matter
  • Carry out regularly scheduled instruction, ensuring students’ awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques, as well as recruitment, tutoring and academic counseling of students
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Master’s in Business Administration or related field. A Bachelor’s degree with significant teaching experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 1-year cumulative post-secondary teaching experience. Other teaching experience may be considered.
  • CPHR certification (highly desired)
  • Proficient with the use of learning technologies
  • Excellent classroom management and instructional skills
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, planning, time management, and organizational skills
  • Dependable and resourceful team member with a proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities with a calm professional approach
  • Commitment to inclusion and diversity

Compensation And Benefits
  • Placement on the wage grid is reflective upon educational and experiential qualifications.
