Job summary

A nonprofit organization in London, Ontario is seeking a Park Operations Technician (Maintenance) for a 1-year contract role. Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of previous work experience in Conservation Area maintenance or operations.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and valid CPR/First Aid Certificate is required.
  • Ability to work varied shifts including days, afternoons, weekends, and occasional nights.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with facilitating day-to-day maintenance responsibilities of the Conservation Area.
  • Operate a variety of equipment including tractor and chainsaws.
  • Liaise with users of UTRCA recreation areas to identify their needs and ensure satisfaction.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication
Experience operating tractors and chainsaws
Ability to work independently
Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems

Education

Minimum grade 12 education
2-year college diploma in Parks, Recreation or related field
