Role Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations for Bloom. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the executive team, you’ll handle payroll, reconciliation, invoicing, tax filings, and month-end reporting, as well as support departmental financial processes across the agency.

This is a hybrid role with 1–2 in-person days per week at our Montreal office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform weekly bookkeeping (mix of accrual and cash basis)
  • Keep Bloom’s financial records accurate, organized, and up-to-date
  • Prepare month-end financial reports and departmental cost center updates
  • Process payroll through Wagepoint
  • Handle client invoicing, media reconciliation, and expense & payables management
  • Manage bank reconciliation and tax filing responsibilities
  • Work directly with the CFO and executive team on financial planning and reporting needs
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Proficiency with Xero, Dext, Hubdoc, and Wagepoint
  • Strong understanding of accrual bookkeeping, payroll, debits & credits, clearing accounts, invoicing, payables, and tax rates
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Hyper-organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Friendly, professional, and collaborative
  • Comfortable learning and adapting to new software/apps quickly
  • Experience in the marketing or digital advertising industry is an asset
