Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation, Witatoskemitotan Mitho-Pimatiswin in operating a Community Comprehensive Wellness initiative and is seeking one (1) Community Wellness Support Worker (CWSW) to work with Sturgeon Landing, Sask. The pay is $40,000.00 per year for the Community Wellness Support Worker. There will be support services for the worker and interested applicants with minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply.
PBCN is willing to train the successful candidate for this position, the person selected will be supported by a PBCN Community Wellness Coordinator, Witatoskemitotan Mitho- Pimatiswin, Director and local personnel. Interested applicants with the minimum qualifications should apply.
Reporting to the Community Wellness Coordinator (CWC), the CWSW will assist in providing Witatoskemitotan Mitho-Pimatiswin services to support children, youth, and families. The CWSW will participate in case planning and full range service delivery to children, youth, and families. Also, CWSW functions as a member of Interagency services supporting children, youth, and families. Interagency comprises local programs such as PBCN Health, Education and ICFS, and other service providers in the community. The position will support the Community Wellness Coordinator. The position will be located in the community of Sturgeon Landing, Sask.
You will nurture and provide a culturally relevant space where parents, caregivers, youth, and children can build strong cultural connections with each other and receive support as they journey with other families. The CWSW will support this by embracing the fundamental philosophy of good governance practices by identifying the following relationship principle in all of the work that is completed within the community and families:
