A community support organization in Manitoba is seeking a Communications Coordinator to manage digital communications and support internal and external messaging. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and interpersonal skills, and experience in communication fields. This role is essential for advocating awareness about services and fostering a positive culture among staff and volunteers.
St.Amant supports over 5,000 people in Manitoba with developmental disabilities, autism and acquired brain injury. Reporting to the Manager and consistent with the mission, values and policies of St.Amant, the Communications Coordinator is a critical role in ensuring the success of St.Amant business and operations.
Exemplifying the mission, vision and values of St.Amant, the Communications Coordinator works collaboratively with partnered programs while offering employees respectful customer service. They are responsible for planning and implementing effective digital communications strategy and ongoing evaluation for St.Amant (including the Research Centre) and supporting the St.Amant Foundation communications plans.
The focus of this position is on external communications that will ensure that the general public and other audiences are fully aware of St.Amant’s news, information, programs and services, while also advocating and elevating the perception of people labelled with intellectual disability. This position also focuses on internal communication between all program areas and the over 2,000 employees and volunteers that work with St.Amant. This position is critical to supporting a positive, transparent and compassionate culture experienced by staff in the organization.
