South East - Kent / Essex and surrounding counties

  • Region: South East (Depots in Kent & Essex)
  • Package: £50,000 – £55,000 basic + 9% quarterly bonus (uncapped)
  • OTE: £60,000+

The Company

Our client is a market‑leading, environmentally focused manufacturer within the heavy building materials sector. They operate multiple sites across the UK and specialise in producing sustainable aggregates for major infrastructure projects. With a multimillion‑pound turnover, strong market presence, and significant year‑on‑year growth, they are widely regarded as leaders within their field.

They supply high‑performance, eco‑friendly aggregates for use in highways, roads, civil engineering and large infrastructure projects, and work with many of the UK’s major Tier 1 contractors.

The Role – Commercial Sales Manager

This is a project‑led sales role managing key relationships across the South East. You will be responsible for selling a range of environmentally sustainable aggregate solutions to:

  • Civil Engineering companies
  • Subcontractors & groundworkers involved in major infrastructure schemes
  • Some back-selling through specialist distributors and merchants (small percentage)

You will use platforms such as Barbour ABI to identify upcoming infrastructure projects and ensure early engagement at bid/tender stage.

This position replaces a high‑performing individual who has recently been promoted internally, highlighting strong career progression opportunities.

About You

We are looking for a strong relationship‑led salesperson with experience in:

  • Aggregates / concrete (other heavyside/civil products will be considered)
  • Selling into Tier 1 contractors or civil engineering firms
  • Engaging with consulting engineers, procurement and site teams
  • A proactive, confident, and structured sales approach is essential.
