Job summary

A well-established office solutions company in Ontario is seeking an experienced candidate to develop furniture and workplace services proposals. The ideal applicant has 5+ years in contract furniture and comprehensive knowledge of the commercial design process, along with excellent communication skills in English. This position involves managing multiple projects and ensuring timely proposal preparation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant North American, contract furniture experience in commercial design or furniture dealership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various office furniture manufacturers.
  • Excellent understanding of the furniture sales, design, proposal, order tracking and installation phases of commercial furniture projects.
  • Experience working on multiple projects, and successfully managing priorities, conflicting deadlines, and various demands.
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in English.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare furniture, accessory, and workplace services proposals.
  • Maintain accurate timesheet and activity log records.
  • Produce accurate, on-time specifications and cost estimates using specification programs.
  • Assist with the correction of deficiencies.
  • Interface with team members to maintain high quality of service.

Salary: 90,000+

Responsibilities
  • With extensive experience in an office furniture dealer environment with technical systems furniture planning, application and knowledge
  • Prepares furniture, accessory, and workplace services proposals
  • Has a clear understanding of the intricacies involved in contract furniture moves and installation. Able to cost a client move to ensure smooth delivery of services and successful completion.
  • Ensures a high quality of proposal preparation.
  • Assists with the correction of deficiencies
  • Produces accurate, on time specifications and cost estimates using specification programs
  • Maintains accurate timesheet and activity log records
  • Effectively interfaces and interacts with designated Connect Team Members to help maintain Connects high quality of service
Performance Measurements / Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant North American, contract furniture experience in commercial design or furniture dealership
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various office furniture manufacturers
  • Excellent understanding of the furniture sales, design, proposal, order tracking and installation phases of commercial furniture projects
  • Experience working on multiple projects, and successfully managing priorities, conflicting deadlines and various demands
  • Works independently
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in the English language, to allow for effective communication
  • Efficient and organized documentation of process and coordination
  • A positive attitude, confident, focused and responsible
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Educational / Licensing / Certification Requirements
