St Joseph’s Lodge in Gore Bay is currently accepting applications for the position of Co-Director of Care (RN).

Hourly Rate: $48.45-$60.56 (Commensurate with Experience)

Permanent Full Time

Start Date: As Soon as Possible

We are seeking a dedicated Co Director of Care (RN) to support our Director of Care and clinical team in ensuring high-quality, resident-centered clinical care in our long‑term care facility. This leadership role involves mentoring nursing staff, overseeing care programs, supporting infection prevention initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and collaborate with the Director of Care in clinical leadership and operations.
  • Lead staff education, orientation, and performance management.
  • Develop and oversee the following programming:
    • Skin and Wound care
    • Behavioural Supports Ontario programming
    • Infection Prevention and Control
    • CQI/Risk Management
    • Pain and Palliative Care
    • Staff and Resident Quality of Life
    • Health and Safety
  • Investigate incidents, address complaints, and ensure proper documentation and corrective actions.
  • Serve as Acting Director of Care as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality improvement, and resident-focused care.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum 3 years of RN experience; management/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dementia care, infection control, wound care, and adult learning principles.
  • Experience in long‑term care is an asset.
