ELITS is now looking for a Cloud Infrastructure & Kubernetes Engineer in our operations in Montreal.

About the Role

Imagine joining a team where your work on cloud infrastructure directly powers next-generation fifth-generation (5G) core networks. At ELITS Canada, you will help deploy, operate, and manage the lifecycle of cloud-native products across containerized and virtualized environments, enabling high availability, scalability, and reliable performance for customers worldwide.

Requirements

• Infrastructure and deployment platforms
  • Experience with VMware, Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM), and OpenStack for virtual machine-based deployments and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Kubernetes Operators, service mesh technologies, and Ingress/load balancer configuration.
• Databases
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL installation, configuration, backup and recovery, and performance tuning (including query optimization, indexing, and parameter tuning).
  • Understanding of high-availability and data migration practices such as primary/standby setups, replication, and clustering.
• Systems and networking
  • Skilled in Linux system administration and performance tuning, with a solid understanding of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
  • Knowledge of Domain Name System (DNS), firewalls, load balancing, and Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificate management.
  • Familiarity with storage technologies, including local disks, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Network (SAN), and Kubernetes persistent storage using persistent volumes (PV) and persistent volume claims (PVC).
