Overview

Job title: Cloud Architect

Location: HYBRID — Vaughan, ON

Contract: 1 Year

A Principal Architect who has done large microservices based apps on Kubernetes and worked with ELK and GKE. This role involves scaling, and working on apps that are 24/7 critical to business needs with high availability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect complex microservices systems, including patterns for inter-service communication and transaction management between microservices.
• Scale and optimize cloud-native applications with Kubernetes (GKE) and related tooling.
• Work on 24/7 critical applications ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate across onshore/offshore teams and multiple projects within a cloud-focused environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Microservices expert with Google Cloud Platform and Java. Node.js is a plus.
• Experience with Kubernetes, ELK, and GKE; familiarity with cloud-native architecture and APIs.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, exception handling, and OOP concepts.
• Experience with cloud platform services, cloud functions, CI/CD, DevOps.
• Experience working with onshore/offshore teams and multi-project environments.
• Java background; Google Cloud Platform experience; Node.js is a plus.
