WSP Psychologist (Mental Health and Addictions)

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Type: Permanent full-time

Workplace Support Programs (WSP):

A group of programs designed to address mental health concerns in the workplace. TELUS Health's Workplace Support Program offers early intervention into employee mental health and addictions issues, providing professional assessment and counseling to support individuals' return to healthy productivity. These interventions target issues requiring longer-term, specialized, or intensive care to prevent or manage workplace performance problems, absence, and disability.

Role Summary:

Reporting to the WSP team manager, you will provide in-person and remote counseling services for TELUS Health Workplace Support Programs. You will also conduct mental health and substance use assessments, diagnosis, develop treatment recommendations, and interventions.

Core Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ph.D. or master's degree in Psychology
  • Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills in substance use and mental health
  • Ability to adapt to clinical supervision
  • Proficiency in assessing psychosocial disorders and developing treatment plans
  • Knowledge of clinical assessment tools
  • Ability to write clear and concise clinical reports
  • Experience with mandated clients
  • Knowledge of community resources and case management skills
  • Competency with computer skills, including MS Office
  • Ability to work both in person and remotely, and collaborate within a team
