Job Details
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Location: Edmonton, AB T5N 0Z2 (On site)
  • Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, negotiated; 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Employment Term: Permanent, full‑time.
  • Shift options: Early morning, morning, day, evening, night, weekend, shift, overtime available.
  • Starts as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Administer medications
  • Assist clients in water (i.e., pool)
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise (e.g., walk)
  • Feed or assist in feeding
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide personal care
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Cook
  • Administer first‑aid and other assistance
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
  • Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:
    • Behaviour management Certification
    • Understanding and managing aggressive behaviour (UMAB) course
    • CPR Certificate
    • First Aid Certificate
    • Health Care Aide Certificate
    • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • Target audience: Adolescents; Persons with a disability, intellectual disability, mental health disabilities, physical disabilities; School age (6–12 years)
