Overview

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. offers a Client Manager (CM) position considered to be a Sales Team role focused on the management and growth of existing client accounts. The position is intended for Project Managers (PM) with a track record of performing full client management responsibilities on existing client accounts generating $2M or more in annual bookings. In addition, the CM candidate has demonstrated an ability to strategically expand sales with existing client relationships. The expectation of the CM role is to grow existing client accounts through proactive sales activity.

Responsibilities
  • CM responsibilities include :
  • Perform at least the following 3 out of 4 sales professional activities :
  • Field, adequately price, and respond to proposal requests.
  • Be active in client management. Serve as the executive in control of communication and quality.
  • Invoice and collect payment in a timely manner.
  • Maintain superior relationships with existing clients and provide an exceptional level of customer service that maintains or drives new sales.
  • Schedule, prepare, participate (including through travel), and help manage client meetings focused on improving the quality of service and expanding sales.
  • Attend local, regional, or national conferences and events to build client relationships.
  • Build company credibility, brand value, and trust with existing clients. Gain knowledge, insight, and understanding from key decision-makers regarding clients’ needs / challenges. Identify strategies and product types that address client needs.
  • Be collaborative with Marketing and utilize the resources and tools to help expand client accounts.
Knowledge & Abilities
  • Experience within building condition survey or construction services.
  • Professional well versed in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) market.
  • Ability to independently communicate and address concerns on client project-related concerns.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, spoken, and listening - with the ability to explain and interpret complex issues clearly.
  • High energy, drive, and ambition.
  • Strong record of superior client service and sustained client relationship
  • Proven track record of quota attainment and ability to win client opportunities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a sales team and interact effectively with the internal technical staff.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in engineering, construction management, or related field)
  • 5+ years of project and client management experience in core physical due diligence and / or construction services
