Job summary

A Yukon-based construction company is seeking a Class 3 Truck Driver for the 2025 construction season. The role involves safely operating specialized trucks and conducting vehicle inspections. The position is a fixed-term contract with no housing provided, suitable for local candidates.

Qualifications

  • Ideally 5 years of truck driving experience.
  • Expertise driving at least one of: Dump, Hydrovac, Water, or Sand trucks.
  • Clean Driver's Abstract.

Class 3 Truck Driver

Castle Rock Enterprises is a fully integrated Yukon-based construction company that offers a range of services to both residential and commercial customers from reclamation to heavy construction. We are looking to hire a Class 3 Truck Driver for the 2025 construction season.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and drive company vehicles in accordance with Castle Rock Enterprises safety standards and policies
  • Operate specialized trucks including: Dump Truck, Hydrovac Truck, Water Truck, Sand Truck
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Monitor equipment condition and report mechanical issues or damage
  • Deliver gravel and other materials to job sites
  • Operate an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to maintain accurate driving records
Qualifications
  • Ideally 5 years of truck driving experience
  • Expertise driving at least one of these trucks: Dump, Hydrovac, Water, or Sand
  • Note: If you can operate more than one, that's a plus—but not required
  • Heavy hauling experience and ability to self-load are considered assets
  • Driver's License held for a minimum of 3 years
  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid First Aid certificate is an asset

Please note that there is no housing or LOA provided for this position. Must be Whitehorse local or arrange own housing.
