The Opportunity: Tetra Tech is adding a Civil/Structural Designer to our Civil/Structural team based in Vancouver, BC.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 per annum. Your Role

• Design, model, detail and draft 3D models and 2D drawings for civil and structural projects
• Perform civil/structural modelling using governing codes and industry standards and experience
• Conduct option studies in relation to site layouts
• Creating, organizing, and updating drawings for FEED and detail design
• Working with lead designer and engineer to scope out projects and establish project objectives
• Coordinating work with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, etc.
• Preparing quantity estimates for projects within the department
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns
• Additional duties as required

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in civil structural engineering/design diploma or related field
• 5-10 years of experience
• CTech, ASct, or ASET considered an asset
• Proven civil structural design experience in EPC or consulting company
• Good understanding of applicable industry codes and standard practices
• Proficiency with Civil3D & AutoCAD 2D and 3D
• Proficiency with ProSteel, SmartPlant, CADWorx or Microstation, Navisworks is an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
