Position:

As a Chef De Partie , you will play a key role in executing the following duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Monitor food quality and presentation
  • Contribute their thoughts and ideas in coming up with seasonal delicious dishes
Qualifications:
  • Food safe level 1 required.
  • Preference will be given to those with previous resort experience, Serving It Right and/or other related certifications.
Additional Requirements:
  • This is a seasonal position based on Haida Gwaii, British Columbia.
  • Contracts run from May to mid-September, totaling approximately 3.5 months.
  • Room and board are provided, as well as flights to and from Vancouver.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced food service environment and/or in a fine dining establishment
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Open to learning about food, different culinary cultures, and their influence on modern cooking
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
