Job description

Accurate Imaging Diagnostics Clinic

is currently seeking an experienced and certified Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team on Fridays and Saturdays. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, including Abdominal (AB), Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN), Breast (BR), and Musculoskeletal (MSK), among others.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner, explaining forthcoming tests;
• Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety, and ensuring proper preparation before each scan while maintaining patient confidentiality by complying with PHIPA.
• Ensuring all quality control checks are performed as required and that the equipment provide qualitative diagnostic images.
• Perform only diagnostic imaging procedures trained, qualified, and certified, ensuring they are conducted safely, ethically, and effectively.
• Collaborate effectively with both patients and clinical staff, demonstrating strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety protocols by properly cleaning and maintaining equipment after each test.
• Demonstrate good perception, motivation, judgment, attention to detail and accuracy;

Required Qualifications

• Active membership in Sonography Canada with the following credentials: Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer and/or ARDMS (AB, OB/GYN, BR, MSKS) or CARDUP.
• Competence in performing the following types of Ultrasound examinations: AB, OB/GYN, BR, MSKS, IPS
