Qualifications

Role Summary

As a Catering Attendant you are responsible for ensuring exceptional safety standards, quality and presentation standards are met for Air North's In-Flight Kitchen. The incumbent ensures daily meal production follows specifications and quantities while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Package take-out food
  • Portion and wrap foods
  • Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
  • Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
  • Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ commercial kitchen operations and some baking experience
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to pass a background check for airport security clearance
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be comfortable operating a cube van
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification considered an asset
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or show proof of right to work in Canada
