About the Role
This is a pivotal role within the Commercial team, where you’ll have the chance to lead the category agenda across priority customers. You’ll work closely with key accounts to develop tailored growth strategies, leverage shopper insights, and ensure optimal product distribution, placement, and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving Growth: Develop and implement category strategies that focus on the 4 P’s—promo, pricing, placement, and product range—from across Grocery, Digital, Convenience, and Wholesale channels.
- Tailoring Plans: Build and execute bespoke retailer strategies, aligning with customer goals and long-term category objectives.
- Data Analysis: Dive into shopper and category data to uncover actionable insights that drive growth and address underperformance.
- Leading Range Reviews: Collaborate with retailers to execute range reviews that focus on category-first and shopper-centric approaches.
- Building Relationships: Establish strong partnerships with customers, becoming a trusted advisor and delivering insights that add real value.
- Driving Innovation: Collaborate on new product development proposals, ensuring alignment with category growth and shopper needs.
- Championing Vision: Contribute to the strategic planning process, guiding category direction and delivering on annual objectives.

The Essentials
- Ideally 5 years of FMCG experience in category, commercial, or strategy roles.
- Proven success in a customer-facing role, delivering growth and category leadership.
- Proven skills in analysing and applying insights from tools such as Kantar, Nielsen, IRI, DH, or I2C.
