We are currently recruiting for Casual Educational Assistants to join our team and work in an engaging and rewarding environment.

Sturgeon Public Schools are located in Sturgeon County, just a short drive from the cities of Edmonton and St. Albert.

Casual Educational Assistants are called on an as‑needed basis to work in a variety of classrooms across the Division. A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are required to travel between school locations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide classroom and individualized support under the direction of the teacher
  • Assist students with academic, social, and behavioural learning needs
  • Encourage independence and positive relationships among peers
  • Help implement classroom strategies and supports for diverse learners
  • Foster a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment
What You Bring
  • Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma/Certificate
  • Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including autism and challenging behaviours
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Training in Positive Behaviour Supports and TCIS
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to student success
  • Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
