Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors, verifying identification.
• Control access at entry and exit points.
• Conduct regular patrols of stairwells, hallways, and common areas.
• Monitor security systems and CCTV for suspicious activity.
• Inspect and report on maintenance needs of security equipment.
• Response to incidents or complaints while providing first aid.
• Document all activities, including incident reports.
• Foster positive staff relationships during emergencies.

Responsibilities for Casual Corporate Security Guard

• Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification, and provide clear guidance while maintaining excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Control access at entry and exit points using electronic systems or physical checks to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of stairwells, hallways, and common areas to establish presence, identify risks, and maintain order.
• Monitor and document all security systems and CCTV for suspicious activity or operational issues, escalating concerns when needed.
• Inspect and report maintenance needs related to security equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to incidents or complaints, provide first aid when required, and coordinate effectively with emergency responders.
• Secure identified doors, ensure proper locking procedures, and enforce property regulations and city by-laws at all times.
• Protect client assets against theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other safety concerns by remaining alert and proactive.
• Document all activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and daily reports, ensuring accuracy and timely communication of concerns.
• Foster positive staff relationships and act as the first point of contact during emergencies to ensure a coordinated and professional response.

Qualifications for Casual Corporate Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license.
• First aid certification an asset.
• Must be flexible and pick open shifts and assist vacation coverage shifts.
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience as a Security guard in a high profile site (asset).
• Leadership and problem‑solving skills.
