Overview

Position Summary: This role conducts complex workplace investigations with a focus on harassment and discrimination. Responsibilities include policy analysis and providing recommendations for senior management.

What you’ll do

This role independently conducts high volumes of complex and neutral workplace investigations into allegations of policy violations, including harassment and discrimination allegations. As an investigator, Case Management Partners are responsible for reaching appropriate conclusions in accordance with applicable employment-related legislation and evolving employment and human rights case law. The role requires effective communication of investigative findings, policy applications, and related recommendations to senior management and legal counsel, both in writing and verbally. This role involves handling highly sensitive and confidential information about associates. Additionally, this role provides subject matter expertise in workplace investigations to various managers and HR business partners. Developing a professional reputation as neutral, experienced, and trustworthy is essential for this role. The role must also appropriately prioritize overlapping urgent matters.

Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization (oral and written), including complex writing of a legal nature.
  • Proficiency in both English and French.
  • Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and situations.
  • Proven conflict management skills, including the ability to be neutral and calm in interviews about sensitive matters.
  • Consulting skills to efficiently partner with the store management and human resources teams.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing business conditions.
  • Able to work as a team player.
  • Action oriented individual, who demonstrates high accountability, solid judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Minimum Education Required: College Certificate or Diploma. Certificate in conducting workplace investigations or human rights training is an asset.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in investigations or human rights fields would be considered an asset.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $74,000.00 - $101,750.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
