Job summary

A leading medical equipment manufacturer in Richmond Hill is looking for a CAD Technician / Project Estimator. This on-site role involves preparing technical CAD drafts and providing project estimates throughout the lifecycle. Responsibilities include CAD/BIM drafting support, ensuring accuracy in compliance, and assisting with detailed budgetary quotations. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering or architectural technology and proficiency in CAD software. This position is fast-paced and requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Past project estimating experience preferred.
• Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural background considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update 2D AutoCAD drawings.
• Study specifications and construction drawings for budgetary quotations.
• Maintain quality service by following organizational standards.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD 2D/Revit)

Ability to read and interpret CAD plans

Experience reviewing construction plans

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

Education

Education in Engineering, Architectural Technology, CAD/Drafting
