POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a creative and highly motivated Drafter to our growing team. This position will be responsible for executing the full layout/design process, for commercial millwork and casework with the use of Cabinet Vision, AutoCad, and Innergy Design. You will help maintain Cabinet Vision’s and AutoCAD’s cabinet database. You will create Shop Drawing packages based on Architectural Drawings. You will create all cabinet/millwork construction documents and directly communicate with the shop daily. You will ensure that all products are fully and correctly defined, documented, and meet all the necessary requirements. You will continually innovate and look for better solutions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job is a full-time position, with the hours of 7:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. The hours of work can be adjusted if necessary. A full-benefits package will be provided following a successful probationary period. The starting wage for this position will be $25-35 per hour depending on experience and education levels. This position will include software specific training as needed.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draw, update, and maintain designs
• Prepare production information (i.e. drawings, cut lists, BOM) providing the necessary information for programming, machining, and assembly operations
• Create all millwork/cabinet construction drawings, and shop construction books
• Create Shop Drawing packages based on Architectural Drawings
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Ensure designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer needs
• Perform other assigned tasks and requirements as assigned

PREFERRED/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Cabinet Vision experience is an asset. Must be proficient and understand software’s capabilities.
• Experience with Wood Products, Architectural Millwork, Cabinetry, Kitchen & Bath, etc
• Well organized
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Demonstration of independent thinking ability
• Strong technical, analytical, and reasoning skills
• Must have strong communication and written skills working in a team environment
