What is the role?

We are looking to recruit an experienced Buyer to join our Buying Team. The Buyer will report to the Commercial Director and will be responsible for sourcing and ordering materials, achieving best value, and ensuring group deals are adhered to.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Material scheduling for multiple developments
2. Calculating bulk quantities and scheduling them with manufacturers
3. Monitoring regional bulk material levels
4. Submitting material cost budgets and reporting losses or thefts
5. Collaborating with Site and Contract Managers for efficient requisitions

What experience do I need?

1. Previous Buyer experience within construction, capable of providing take-offs from drawings
2. Self-motivated, eager to learn, with a good work ethic
3. Adaptable with strong management skills and proficiency in Excel
4. Confident negotiation skills
5. Experience with COINS is a plus
6. Full Driving Licence is essential
