The Business Technology Analyst serves as a critical link between business operations and technology solutions. This role works closely with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, HR, and IT to analyze business processes, define system requirements, and support the implementation of technology solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position plays a key role in optimizing business systems, supporting enterprise applications, and ensuring technology solutions align with organizational goals.

1. Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate with business users, managers, and leadership to understand operational needs and technology challenges.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs to elicit and document system requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements for IT solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
2. Business Process Analysis & Improvement
  • Analyze current business processes related to landscape construction, maintenance, and support functions.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and scalability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
3. Documentation & Analysis
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including:
  • Business process maps
  • Functional requirements
  • User stories and use cases
  • System workflows and specifications
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, current, and accessible to project teams and stakeholders.
4. System Implementation & Support
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of enterprise systems and applications.
  • Work closely with developers, vendors, and QA teams during configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue resolution.
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet defined business requirements.
5. Change Management, Training & Adoption
  • Support change management efforts associated with new systems and process improvements.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and user documentation.
  • Provide end-user training and post-implementation support.
  • Gather feedback and recommend refinements to improve system adoption and usability.
6. Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze operational and system data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support reporting, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Partner with IT and data teams to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing business processes, and workflows while providing clear documentation to key stakeholders to assist in their understanding of current state and future state.
  • Assist with evaluating new tools, applications, and system enhancements.
  • Support system integrations and data flows between platforms.
  • Help prioritize enhancement requests based on business impact and feasibility.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to business operations.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a business analyst, systems analyst, or similar role preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications or operational systems.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Experience working with enterprise system (ERP, CMMS, CRM, HRIS, or similar platform).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of landscape construction, maintenance, or field-service operations is a plus.

Pay Range: $33-$38/Hour (DOE)
