Overview

Business Information Security Officer (BISO) for Fed. The BISO Public Sector is the security leader dedicated to supporting our U.S. Federal business. This role partners with the Public Sector leader, sales, operations and engineering teams to embed security into systems, code and processes to enable compliance while driving speed and innovation. Acting as both an engineering-minded builder and a trusted advisor, the Public Sector BISO ensures that government requirements (CMMC, FedRAMP, FISMA) are met seamlessly, while positioning security as a differentiator that earns trust with agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Public Sector business leaders to align security with sales, product and operational goals
  • Translate U.S. government security requirements (CMMC, FedRAMP, FISMA, etc.) into clear, actionable engineering and operational practices
  • Lead federal certification and compliance readiness efforts, ensuring controls are implemented effectively and sustained through automation and monitoring
  • Embed security into systems design, code pipelines and infrastructure making security invisible, reliable and scalable
  • Build reusable security playbooks, artifacts and guidance for Public Sector sales and delivery teams
  • Serve as the primary interface to federal customers, auditors and assessors. Communicate our security capabilities with clarity and credibility
  • Partner with engineering and operations to design, implement and measure right-sized security controls
  • Collaborate with BISOs, the CISO and InfoSec teams to share best practices and build enterprise-wide consistency
  • Support incident preparedness and coordinated response for Public Sector customers to ensure timely recovery and communication
  • Develop and maintain a clear view of the federal security posture, surfacing insights to executives and federal stakeholders

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, engineering or related technical roles with direct exposure to U.S. Federal business environments
  • Proven success embedding security into engineering and operations and achieving / sustaining certifications or authorizations, e.g., FedRAMP, CMMC
  • Strong expertise in federal security frameworks and requirements including CMMC2.0, NIST RMF, NIST 800-53 / 171, FedRAMP, FISMA
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud and infrastructure in regulated environments and modern security engineering practices
  • Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with federal customers, auditors and senior executives in both technical and business forums
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field required; CISSP, CISM or similar certifications preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is United States – Dallas Infomart Office : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual. Canada – Toronto Office : 119,000 - 179,000 CAD / Annual. Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
