Overview

Gabby’s Restaurant (Urban Dining Group) is owned and operated by local Toronto families. This year we are celebrating our 36th Anniversary and continue to provide exceptional value and great local neighborhood service. We are looking to strengthen and add to our current team at Gabby’s Corporate locations. We are growing in the near future (east GTA) and need General Managers ready to go.

You will need to have drive and a service-based mindset to make decisions in the best interest of the restaurant. You understand labor, food and liquor costs and know how you can help with controlling each on a daily basis. Ideally you have 4+ years of solid GM experience in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.

  • Motivate and energize staff on every shift.
  • Make decisions in the best interest of the restaurant with a service-based mindset.
  • Manage labor, food, and liquor costs and monitor daily controls.
  • Train and coach staff to deliver great food and service to each guest.
Qualifications
  • Must live east side of the city (Toronto).
  • 4+ years of General Manager experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (GM) or 4 years (AGM) experience as noted.
  • Knowledge of inventories and labor control; ability to increase sales through social and local marketing initiatives.
  • Experience with opening new stores is a bonus.
  • Smart Serve certification (required); Food Handler certification (preferred).
  • Work location: On site, Toronto, ON. In-person work.
  • Ability to uphold high standards in food quality, guest service, and fiscal management.
  • Access to or own vehicle for travel to locations.
  • Salary: $55,000.00–$59,000.00 per year; 5-day work week; 2 weeks vacation; manager meals and benefit package options available.
