Job description
The Opportunity

Vintage Stone Capital is an operationally focused private investment firm based in the Northeast. We acquire and modernize legacy industrial businesses specifically in the Industrial Services and Waste Management sectors. We are not financial engineers; we are builders who partner with owners to unlock value through operational excellence and technology.

We are looking for a hungry, high-agency Origination Analyst to join our investment team in a full-time capacity. This is not a student internship or a part-time gig. We are looking for a dedicated professional to serve as the "Tip of the Spear" for our acquisition strategy.

You will work directly with the Managing Partner, gaining front‑row exposure to the entire deal lifecycle from sourcing and origination to LOI and Closing.

The Reality of the Job

This is a Hunter & Problem Solver role.

The Mission

Your sole focus is proprietary deal origination. You will be hunting for off‑market companies that fit our specific investment thesis.

The Grind

You will be building lists, cold‑emailing owners, and cold‑calling gatekeepers. You will face rejection daily.

The Expectation

We are looking for self‑starters who can think on their feet. We do not want robots who just follow instructions; we want thinkers who can find solutions when data is missing.

The Prize (Why You Want This)

This is not a typical analyst role where you are buried in spreadsheets for years. This role puts you directly in the heart of the Private Equity world.

The Path

We offer a clear, accelerated path to Partner in 5 years.

The Reward

We take care of our people. When we win, you win.

The Result

While your friends are stuck climbing the corporate ladder rung by rung, you will be building a portfolio. In 5 years, you will be miles ahead of your peer group in terms of net worth, experience, and status.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Mapping: Identify and research "off‑market" acquisition targets ($3M–$10M EBITDA) across the US, with a focus on unpolished industrial businesses
  • Campaign Execution: Lead our proprietary outreach strategy (Cold Email, LinkedIn, Phone) to business owners and intermediaries
  • Pipeline Management: Own the CRM, scrub leads for quality, and ensure high‑priority targets are flagged immediately for the Investment Committee
  • Deal Screening: Review incoming Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and assist in initial investment thesis evaluation
Qualifications & Candidate Profile
  • 0–2 years of full‑time professional experience (recent graduates or early‑career professionals)
  • Bachelor's Degree Required (not accepting applications from current students)
  • Must be available for full‑time business hours (40+ hours/week)
  • The "Hunter" Mindset: Not afraid of the phone or rejection - understand that sourcing is a numbers game requiring persistence
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools (HubSpot/Salesforce)
  • Experience with research platforms (Apollo, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator) is a strong plus
Preferred Background
  • Background in Sales (SDR/BDR) preferred
  • Investment Banking experience is a plus
  • Real Estate or Executive Search experience valued
  • High‑agency personality with self‑starter mentality
  • Strong research and analytical skills
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive Monthly Base Salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Significant Success Fee: Cash bonus upon the closing of any deal you source
  • Direct mentorship from the Managing Partner
  • Clear path to Associateship or operating roles within portfolio companies
  • Front‑row exposure to the entire deal lifecycle
