Business Development Representative
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000
Our client is looking to add a Business Development Representative to their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, servicing, and growing a title insurance sales territory. Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect new subscribers through law firm visits, networking, industry events, and client meetings.
- Strengthen and maintain existing subscriber relationships via regular visits, providing ongoing support, service, and training to exceed customer expectations.
- Foster customer loyalty and retention.
- Exceed sales objectives and targets within an assigned territory.
- Provide support, guidance, and problem resolution to customers.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the competitive market, identify opportunities and challenges, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Plan and manage time effectively to uncover and maximize sales opportunities.
- Coordinate and conduct product training.
- Support the broader business development team.
- Continuously grow sales and industry knowledge through training and learning opportunities.
- Track all customer interactions, including appointments, sales calls, and opportunities, in activity logs and CRM software.
Position Requirements:
- Knowledge of residential conveyancing, procedures, and workflow of real estate law practices, and title insurance.
- Knowledge of mortgage lending and banking is an asset.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in business development, mortgage lending, title insurance, or real estate legal industry, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in consultative territory sales management.
- Ability to develop and optimize a sales pipeline.
- Strong customer service skills, including rapport building, needs identification, and providing solutions.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Team-oriented, driven, service-minded, proactive, with strong communication skills.
- High computer literacy.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel within the Kitchener-Waterloo-Guelph-Cambridge and London, Ontario territories.
